Yes, I have decided to change the blog to english. To any non-native danish visitors, please bear with the fact that you may stumble upon danish posts here. Now, onto the video.

I stumbled upon this video over on fstoppers.com and really like it. It is close to being the best example of how to retouch eyes in photoshop.

Take a look at it, and enjoy.

So I decided to make a quick screencast of how I regularly edit my shots in post, specifically “my” version of crossprocessing. To do this, I have used a shot of Rolf I took a while ago. More after the break

Unfortunately, the video is from when this site was in danish, which means bad luck for any non-danish speakers. This won’t happen again, but I hope you’ll be able to follow the screencast and get the general idea of what I’m doing anyway.

The final image (clicky for biggie):

Sony’s press conference at PMA2010 has come to an end.

This conference has been followed by a lot of Sony dSLR users due to the fact that there have been huge expectations of a Sony A700 successor.

Well… It has been revealed, but with the twist that it is a concept camera at this point. No technical spefications, price, launchdate and so on have been unveiled.

And… this has sent the users over the top. Many users believe that Sony may as well just give up and stop producing dSLR cameras

Nikon’s topcamera in the dSLR range is way better than the best Sony offers

Yes… I agree. However, there is a massive massive price difference. So if Nikon didn’t have a camera that was a lot better, then something would have to be rotten in the state of Denmark.

That said, Sony has in my opinion set the record straight as being one of the top three dSLR brands with this conference:

Hvis Nikons ikke var bedre, ville jeg mene at der var noget galt.

Det sagt, Sony har efter min mening cementeret deres position som én af de top tre på dSLR markedet med denne presse konference:

A successor to the magnificent A700

A CZ 24mm f/2.0

A 500mm f/4

Furthermore, they have announced their micro four-thirds cameras. Unfortunately again without technical specs. These will be with an E-mount, but I bet they will be compatible with the A-mount lenses through an adapter of sorts.

I am a major photography nut.

I have spent large amounts of my free time on photography over the course of the last 7-8 years.

Previously, I spent a lot of time in photoshop doing heavy manipulations, but I have been concentrating on improving my photography skills over the past year or so.

While doing this, I use quite a few sites to gather information, inspiration, and to develop myself theoretically.

So hereby a “top five” over the sites where I spend most of my time

Flickr
Without a doubt THE most used site, plenty of inspiration, and great discussions

FotoStart
Danish site for photographers.

Joe McNally
One of (if not THE) biggest most experienced photographers of my time. Awesome writer as well.

Strobist.com
Mr. Hobby should need no introduction

Zarias.com
The man, Zack Arias. Possibly my idol in regards to photography

So that’d be my list as of now. Will try and keep this updated with more interesting sites as time goes by.
